Figure 8. 3D multiplane of the mitral valve

The mitral valve area measured in the sort axis using the 3D probe in multiplane modality was= 2.6 cm2. The multiplane modality allows a precise alignment of the short axis plane (Figure 8, right panel) with the maximum leaflet separation seen in the long axis plane (Figure 8, left panel).
