How to use the Calculator. The Calculator is an Excel file: type in the yellow cells the information requested, checking the Legend provided in or below the Calculator box for explanations concerning the variable values. The Calculator will instantly calculate the results of formulas in the gray cells, and provide the 2 main information requested when evaluating LV Diastolic Function:
1. LV filling pressures estimate;
2. Identification of LV Diastolic Dysfunction Class.

The Calculator is based on the 2016 ASE-EACVI Recommendations for the evaluation of LV Diastolic Function. The reference Algorithm is shown here (Figure 16A). In Figure 16B is shown the complementary Algorithm which implements the echocardiographic measurement of pulmonary diastolic pressure.
