Figures 13 and 14. Continous wave Doppler sampling of the native mitral valve pre-CPB (Image 13) and of the mitral mechanical bi-leaflet prosthesis post-CPB (Image 14). The mean trans-valvular pressure gradient decreases from 12 mmHg to 1 mmHg (low-flow, low-pressure status post-CPB).
