The analysis of longitudinal strain, using the GE AFI software (Figure 11) shows a moderate reduction of Global Longitudinal strain (GLS= -13.8 %) with a severe reduction of strain in the segments included in the dashed area: all the base to apical segments of the interventricular septum and anterior wall, which supports (together with the ECG) the diagnostic hypothesis of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
