Estimation of wedge pressure with echocardiography
In patients with cardiac disease without precapillary pulmonary arterial hypertension, an algorithm based on the acquisition of pulmonary regurgitation Doppler trace can accurately estimate elevated pulmonary capillary wedge pressure independently of LV ejection fraction, providing an advantage in negative predictive value and accuracy over the ASE/EACVI 2016 recommendations.
